Tara is a Minneapolis based theatre artist with a passion for creating new works.
Some favorite previous credits include:
Cabal with Walking Shadow Theatre Company, A Very Die Hard Christmas at the Bryant Lake Bowl, Endometriosis: The Musical with Ripped Nylon Productions (‘22 MN Fringe Festival Audience Pick), Incident at Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville—both with Sidekick Theatre.
Tara got her start back in 2005 as an original cast member of the Church Basement Ladies series with Troupe America Inc., in which she performed locally and all around the country in seven of the original productions up until 2023.
She has performed at Yellow Tree Theatre in The Rats, The Wasps Nest, Death of a Salesman, Circle Mirror Transformation, Our Town, and several others, and at Artistry in Doubt, Steel Magnolias, and Follies, and more.
One of her most treasured productions she was ever involved with was 7th House Theatre Collective’s sold out production of Hair.
Tara also spent a year (pre-pandemic) as a lead vocalist on the prestigious SilverSea cruise line, sailing all over the world on both the Silver Wind and the Silver Spirit, on which she created and performed in two full-length solo cabaret productions: “Dancing in the Backyard” and “To Sir With Love” respectively.
In January of 2024, Tara started as the full-time Production Coordinator at the iconic Ordway Center for the Arts, where she has the pleasure of working with many talented theatre makers on both sides of the stage.
Tara enjoys a quiet life at home in her downtown Minneapolis apartment, surrounded by too many plants, and her beloved 13-year-old chihuahua Happy.
