O, Starbucks, How I Love Thee

Posted on August 26, 2021 by Tara

How does one describe love?

Venti

Vanilla

Sweet Cream

Cold Brew.

That’s how.

I wonder sometimes if the baristas behind the bar at the Highland Park Starbucks know how much they mean to me. This $4.81 treat is sometimes the one thing I get out of bed for on a Monday morning. I am specific about the amount of ice I prefer (very light), about the sugar content (3 pumps of brown sugar as well as vanilla), and my preference of using a straw.

I used to be a Starbucks barista myself, and know what kinds of people you encounter at one of the most popular coffee chains we’ve all heard of. Coffee is serious business, and these angels behind the bar know that, and treat it with the respect it deserves.

My love language is Iced Coffee.

What’s your drink?
